John Deere Windrowers for Sale

• Mounted Windrowers

These are attached to the back of a tractor and are often used for smaller fields or crops with lower yields. They are relatively compact and maneuverable.

• Self-Propelled Windrowers

These are standalone machines that are not attached to a tractor. They are typically larger and more powerful, making them suitable for large-scale operations and high-yielding crops.

• Side-Delivery Windrowers

These machines gather and deliver the cut crop to the side of the field, forming windrows parallel to the direction of travel. They are commonly used for crops like hay and grain.

• Center-Delivery Windrowers

These machines gather and deliver the cut crop to the center of the field, forming windrows perpendicular to the direction of travel. They are often used for crops like alfalfa and other legumes.

• Combination Windrowers and Tedders

Some machines combine the functions of a windrower and a tedder, allowing for both windrowing and spreading of the cut crop in a single pass. This can be efficient for crops that require rapid drying.

• Crop Type and Conditions

Determine the average height of your crops to select a swather with appropriate cutting height. Then, consider the crop's thickness and choose a windrower with sufficient power and capacity. Finally, assess your field's topography and soil type to choose a windrower with suitable ground clearance and traction.

• Farm Size and Capacity

The size of your fields will affect the type of windrower and appropriate cutting width. Moreover, think about what cutting speed you want, and select a windrower with sufficient capacity and horsepower.

• Budget

Your budget will affect whether you're willing to invest in a new or used windrower. Don't forget about maintenance and repairs.

New windrower

• New windrowers come with warranties, the latest technology, and generally better reliability. However, they are significantly more expensive and may require a wait time for delivery.

Used windrower

• Used windrowers offer a lower upfront cost and can sometimes be negotiated, making them attractive for those on a budget. However, they may have unknown histories, limited warranties, and older technology.

• To mitigate these risks and make an informed decision, we offer comprehensive pre-sale inspection for used self-propelled windrowers. Our inspection services include:

• Detailed Assessment

• History Verification

• Performance Evaluation

Used windrower

• Used windrowers can be a more affordable option. They may also be available for immediate purchase, eliminating the wait time often associated with new machines. Additionally, used windrowers might have a proven track record of reliability and performance, offering a sense of confidence in their capabilities.
